So it is the HOLIDAYS!!!!! I had opera for monday and tuesday. It was so fun! We learnt our other dance for 'money to burn'. I am in pub/theatre group, and we sing 'flash,bang,wallop!' and 'money to burn'. I feel really privileged to be in the opera and I hope to get in again next year. I'm going to a holiday program next week for my church. They host a really cool intermediates holiday program where you play the amazing race and lots of other cool stuff. You also get a lesson about God for 45 mins! It's a win-win! And on the 17th of July, I'm getting my glasses! Yes that's right! I'm getting glasses! I chose my frame on sunday and it takes two weeks to prepare.  See you in term 3 with my funky glasses!  SHANAN (your bffl) <3

     It happened, it really did. THE REAL BUGSY!!!! We were the first to go up and we probably had the least crowd. :( But it was the most fun I had ever had! I really loved performing Lena in front of some people. I had nerves but I got over them as soon as I got on stage. Since I was a kid I'd always wanted to be an actress. And I got a small taste of that when I did Bugsy. I know, I know, being an actress is cheesy and all, but I have a backup plan if acting doesn't work out! Writing! I really love writing as well! But anyways, comment if you saw bugsy! 

What has been my biggest success this week??? It was definitely overcoming my fear of crowds. I had to perform my LENA MARELLI scene in BUGSY. I had to do that in front of the syndicate at syndicate assembly. I get ELEPHANTS stampede in my tummy when I have to perform in front of over 100 people. Also getting to 13 publishing pieces and sharing it with the syndicate. How can I do this more often? I can persevere and try to do more acting in front of audiences. I can also try to do more publishing and thinking out of the box. 

                   GROUP POSTER ON 1920's inventions  HAII 7DM! So as today is friday we learnt about TEAMWORK!!!!!! So we got into teams of 4 and we had to pair up the year, person who created it, and the invention! I paired up with my closest friends in class: Amisha, Nicole and Apphia. We were allowed to use the computer so Amisha was on computer, I was on cutting, Apphia was doing gluing and Nicole was also on the computer. I was cutting with my AWESOME paper cutter! And unfortunately we did not get ANYTHING on our poster... But we were working pretty hard. I wish I had the power to STOP time! But overall it was a fun experience! Thanks for reading!  

Hai 7DM! So as today is MONDAY, we saw MARIA GILL! Maria taught me that if you are going to write a non-fiction book, you should record the reference. Also you should ask a variety of sources and ask around for answers to your questions! Maria is a very inspiring author and I now am considering AUTHOR as a career (besides from acting)! I would love to inspire people with writing just as Maria has done. Thanks for reading!!!

                HAY 7DM!!! Here is my Moment in time, as promised! Moment in time - By Shanan Saju My hands and feet were trembling, my mind focused on what would happen next. I couldn’t hear anything yet many people’s mouths were moving in front of my eyes. Suddenly, someone from behind pushed me forward. I stumbled, my hearing coming back from the shock. I realised why I couldn’t hear before, my mind was too focused on the jump. As my eyes scanned the surroundings of different shapes and sizes of rock. I slowly edge forward, friends saying ‘Just Go!’ Gazing down, I see the greenish-brown river below. It looks like a 9m fall but it's only 4. How could I jump this? I slowly edge forward one more time, my head spinning. My mind screaming ‘NO, NO, NO! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!’ Too late. One foot off the bumpy, cold rock, the next had to follow. I was falling for what seemed like forever. I squeezed my eyes shut as my heart pumped vigorously inside my chest, taking my breat

        CAMP! WE ALL MISS IT!!!!! HAY 7DM!!!! How have we all been feeling?! Camp was GREAT!!!! At School we are writing a moment in time about something we did in camp! My one is about the first jump off the Rock Hop. I'll post it when Mr Mills approves of it. I wonder if any of you will do that too!!! The days are passing so quick since camp!!!                       CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey again 7DM!!! Can you believe it's only 2 sleeps till camp? Well I can't! My day group is: Fahizah, me, Geoffrey and Jack. My night/dorm group is Maddie S, Grace W, Katie, me and Fahizah!!! I'm probably going to sleep in the lounge anyway because I  s n o r e ....not sure how loud at this point in time, but let's just say we'll try the first night and see how it goes.  Lucky Fahizah.....She got me for everything!  Also VERY lucky Mrs Melville....!                                SWIMMING SPORTS Hey Again 7DM! Tomorrow is swimming sports, and I predict that........ Winchester  is going to win!!!!!! This is my little sister cheering (DEFINITELY not crying....) for Winchester:  So today in 7DM we had Mrs Reyes. She is VERY nice!!!! But all the same, we miss you Mr Mills!!!!!!!!!! Even though some of you aren't in Winchester, Benni and Frazer, Our house leaders said just to get in the pool because you will get a point towards the HOUSE MEMORIAL SHIELD! But I reckon you should get in the pool even for just two races, don't worry about winning, just participate, it will be FUN! See you tomorrow 7DM!!! 

                                  Reading In 7DM This past few weeks in 7DM, we have been learning about 'The Outside Experience, Managing Self'. We read 3 stories called: Outward Bound , Dear Mum , and The Big Jump! Outward Bound and Dear Mum   were about two people who were recounting about their experience on an Outward Bound. The Big Jump was about Big Daddy (Charlie) being too scared to do the flying fox over his camp. He was supposed to be a tough bully, but really he was quite chicken! I reckon these books are a good motivation for us to try everything at camp and have FUN! Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to experience an Outward Bound !
