100 WC - 20/11

Image
This week we have a rather mysterious picture. I have watched. I have observed. For over 300 years, I have stayed loyal. The people have passed, the scenery has changed. But I have not. I have stayed in the same place, watching the same area. I have protected this place. My duties will always be needed, but soon I will depart. I am known as the Black Hood. I am the protector of The Green Circle. What I do is vital. I protect when the ‘others’ attack. The Green Circle have thoroughly prepared for this. Bloodshed is coming. . . Joining the ‘other’ side, is my only option for survival.

100 Word Challenge - 13 November

The prompt was …but where would we hide it all?… Heart hammering. Knees shaking. Hands trembling. I push my glasses back to perch on my nose. 'STEVEN, BACK TO THE GRIND NOW!' I hear a familiar booming voice ring through my ears. 'THE SNAKES ARE DEPENDING ON YOU!' Yes. A gang. Now, you wouldn't expect me, a nerdy individual to be in a gang. I don't even want to be in this darn gang. Stupid fathers and being an 'heir' to the 'throne'. 'STEVEN WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!' Oops. Rattlesnake hands me a huge rucksack big enough to accommodate a body. Wait . . . a body? The suspense is killing me. Stupid 'no questions' rule. ‘But dad . . . . where would we hide it all?’

Founder's Day

Image
Today was Southwell's birthday! Southwell turned 106 today. I have only been at Southwell for 8 almost 9 years now, and for Southwell to be existent for 106 years is unimaginable! We got to sit on the oval which is very uncommon as the oval is a sacred place. I have been to many founders day's before, and Mr Speedy glammed it up a little bit this year, and I have to say, it was super fun! I loved the line dancing, the conga lines and the rock band. One of my close friends, Alexis, was in the 2nd rock band. It was amazing seeing the talented students from Southwell. Overall, I loved this years Founder's day! I'm coming to the realisation that this year there was a lot of lasts. This is my last founder's day, and I am very, very, very sad that my Southwell life is coming to an end.

As I approach the bonfire, I see white smoke emerging from the bright orange blaze. My eyes make the shapes to be people, and as I move closer yet, the faces. This year has come to an end, and celebration for all the good things that came to us.  A year has been celebrated, and tomorrow is another day, another year; For which

100 Word Challenge - 24 October

The promt was ....as the door slammed, I knew.... As the door slammed, I knew something was off. Me and Wade have a lot of arguments, but he never seemed to get th is vexed about it. My best friend, Wade Fergus, was known for keeping a cool head in stressful situations. I walk over to the glass panel in the door frame, and peer through the smudged glass. What better to see, peering back at me, Wade. I stood back to open the door, and I turned the doorknob, to no avail. I tried again, but still to no avail. Wade frantically said ‘Shanan!’ We both anxiously started pushing the door handle. ‘Wade, Help Me!’ I scream in trepidation. . .
